Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore is the largest private university in Europe. Founded in Milan in 1921 by Father Agostino Gemelli, it has four campuses in Italy and 12 faculties in Milan, Rome, Brescia and Piacenza-Cremona. The Faculty of Agriculture of Piacenza and Cremona is engaged in research in some very significant areas: from genetics to food safety, including plant and animal production, the preservation of dairy products, enology and viticulture, agro-food economy and environmental protection. In Cremona locates also CERSI, the research center for business development of the Faculty of Law and Economics.

Politecnico di Milano

The Politecnico di Milano is a scientific-technological university, which trains engineers, architects and industrial designers. The University has seven campuses distributed in the cities of Milan, Como, Lecco, Cremona, Mantua and Piacenza and 12 departments of research. The research of the University refer to macro-areas such as environment, cultural heritage, energy, chemicals and materials, physics, aeronautics.

ANMVI - National Association of Italian Veterinarians

The National Association of Italian Veterinarians (ANMVI) is a federation of veterinary professional associations. It was founded in 1999 with the statutory objective to initiate redevelopment projects and the protection of the veterinary profession. It has 21 federated associations, including AIVEMP, ANVIM, SCIVAC, SISCA, SIVAE, SIVAL, SIVAR, SIVE, SIVAR, SIVE, SOVI.

Bioenergy Factory

The Bioenergy Factory is a center of excellence, which was born through an initiative co-funded by the Cariplo Foundation, headed by the Province of Cremona and with the partnership of Politecnico di Milano, Chamber of Commerce of Cremona, ERSAF and the Municipality of Cremona. The role of the center is to support and promote the development of bioenergy systems, ensuring the achievement of the highest potential in terms of employed biomass and producible energy.

SMEA - Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

The Master School of Management and Agribusiness Economics (SMEA) is one of the Master Schools of the Catholic University. The program includes a Postgraduate Specialization Course in Agro-food Management and a Master of Science (Double Degree) in Agricultural and Food Economics. The school is engaged in research through the Observatory of the livestock products sector - also known as Milk Observatory - and the Economic Research Centre for the pig chain (CREFIS) based in Mantua.

CRB - Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Cremona)

The Biotechnological Research Center of the Catholic University (CRB) is a research and experimentation center related to the Institute of Microbiology, under the Faculty of Agriculture. CRB operates thanks to the cooperation and the economic contribution of the Lombardy Region, the Province, the Municipality and the Chamber of Commerce of Cremona and carries out its activities in various fields of research: the study of microorganisms for food processing, the application of genetic engineering to improve the technological performance of bacteria and dairy animals, the optimization of processing technologies and the improvement of bio-energy production.

Parco Tecnologico Padano

The Parco Tecnologico Padano is a research center managed by researchers and businesses. Several partners cooperates within this center: the Agro-Food Research and Development Centre, Laboratories of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Milan, the CNR’s Institute of  Agricultural Biology and Biotechnology, the CNR’s Institute of Biomedical Technologies, the Italian Experimental Institute “Lazzaro Spallanzani”, the Cereal Experimental Institute - section for rice cultivation of Vercelli – and the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Lombardy and Emilia Romagna.
