Agronomist, he gained experience in international cooperation and management of Geographical Indications thanks to the long collaboration with Consortium of Parmigiano Reggiano, that he leads until December 2012. He coordinated EU research projects on the parameters to characterize and promote PDO cheeses. He is one of the founders of ORIGIN, International Network for Geographical Indications, and AICIG - Associazione Italiana Consorzi Indicazioni Geografiche. He is the dean of the Italian Committee of the International Federation of Dairy FIL/IDF.
