Prof. Gianluca Brunori is Full Professor of Food Policy at Università di Pisa, Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment. He is vice-president of European Society for Rural Sociology, and has served as president of the International Sociological Association’s Research Committee 40 (Sociology of agriculture and food). His research activities focus on rural development strategies, on marketing of local food and on the performance of food systems. He is scientific coordinator of the European project GLAMUR (Global and local food assessment: a multidimensional performance-based approach).
