Vito Cistulli

Vito Cistulli is a Senior Policy Officer at the FAO Department of Economic and Social Development. He is an agricultural economist with more than 30 years of experience as a free-lance or staff member with research institutes, international organizations (World Bank, the Indian Ocean Commission, UNEP / MAP) and the private sector (ENI Group). He joined FAO in 2003 as a senior policy officer in charge of supporting the member countries in the design and implementation of agricultural and rural development strategies. He is currently coordinating the social protection work of FAO and is responsible for the initiative on territorial approach to rural poverty reduction and food security and nutrition policies.
