He is Sr. researcher at the Institute of Zootechnics, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Technical Director of the Italian Breeder association.

His scientific interest is in using high-resolution molecular markers. More recently he focused on the application of novel genomic tools for the identification of quantitative traits and on the integration of molecular information into breeding programs.
