Full professor of Geopolitics, History and Institution of Asia and Post Conflict, he is Director of the ASERI master in Middle Eastern Studies and Director of the Center of Research on the South System and Wider Mediterranean (CRiSSMA) of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. He works for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Libyan political and security scenario and has coordinated programs of Scientific and Academic Cooperation between Italy and Iraq and national reconciliation in Iraq.
